Barcelona, Spain
The balconies of the buildings from many Mediterranean cities are characterized for being small spaces and the only place that allows the entrance o the sun to the interiors. The temporary and personal character that each user gives to these places, transforms this spaces in small fragments of the city, that together form an urban landscape of different varieties of fabrics: towels, sheets, clothes.
The piece consists on a plan surface with different pleats and undulations that as a suspended fabric, becomes a light screen. The piece thought to be a hanged out during the day and charge its energy from the sunlight. The piece can be placed in different ways in the inside of the apartment as well as in the outside, becoming part of the facade, in the balcony, in the terrace or in interior walls.
