Carpathian Mountains | Ukraine & Romania
As a tribute to the land where she was born and grew up—in the Carpathian Mountains between Ukraine and Romania—the artist Evghenia Gritscu aimed to honor the sheep of that region through the canvas of her own body. She invited a number of artist friends to create sheep-related pieces, which she then inscribed onto her skin as tattoos. Among these contributions is the sheep we created, conceived as a homage to her landscape and its living presence.
