Guimarães | Portugal | Landscapes of Care | Exhibition

The exhibition Landscapes of Care | Regeneration, Memory, Co-existence is presented within the framework of the 15th LE:NOTRE Landscape Forum 2026 in Guimarães – European Green Capital 2026. The exhibition takes place at IDEGUI – Instituto de Design de Guimarães, a cultural institution dedicated to design, research, and contemporary creative practices.

We participate in the exhibition with the series of maps, narratives, and drawings The Language of Water: Dialogues Towards Co-existence in the Lakeland Region, Jyväskylä, Finland. The work reflects on water, memory, territory, and forms of coexistence within the Finnish Lakeland region through cartographic and visual narratives.

Curated by landscape architect dr. Dominika Gołębiewska, the exhibition brings together artistic and research-based perspectives on landscape as a living system shaped by ecology, memory, everyday life, and relationships between human and more-than-human worlds. Through drawing, mapping, printmaking, and symbolic visual languages, the exhibition explores care as a shared and reciprocal practice connected to territory, water, soil, biodiversity, and collective regeneration.
