Delf | the Netherlands | ECLAS Conference

I had the opportunity to participate in the ECLAS Conference 2026 in Delft. ECLAS — the European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools — brings together landscape architecture schools, academics, researchers, practitioners, and students from across Europe and beyond.

This year’s theme, “TAKE CARE – Planetary Landscape Architecture,” explored how landscape architecture can contribute to caring for our landscapes, communities, and planet.

I contributed to these conversations by sharing experiences developed across practice, research, and academia, through two presentations in the sessions “Taking Care by Engaging Diverse Voices” and “Taking Care through Transformative Education.”

It was also an opportunity to discover the TU Delft campus, exchange ideas with colleagues from different countries, and explore Delft, experiencing firsthand the Netherlands’ approach to cycling and urban mobility, while discovering its canals, streets, and the presence of Vermeer throughout the city.
